This time three years ago, I was just another journalism student at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications.
I knew I wanted to be a broadcast journalist and I knew what I needed to do to get there, but there were so many hurdles to overcome to get to that point.
To get to the point I am at now: a fourth-year Telecommunication-News student who is preparing to send out her resume and reel to news stations across the country.
And it’s scary, but I’ve made it.
And you can, too.
In which your author knows what it’s like to be exhausted and ready to give up, but looks back at where she was to push on to where she wants to go.
Wherever you are now, look back to where you’ve been. Look at the bad and use those situations to push on.
And then, when you get to a point–the point that you were pushing to get to all along–look at what you’re doing and remember how far you’ve come.
